Join us at 1000 Saturday 03 Dec 2022 to finish winterizing Bay Flyer.  Tasks include:

  • Removing sails
  • Folding Sails – done on shore
  • Stowing sails in shore locker
  • Changing engine oil
  • Changing transmission oil.
  • Changing engine oil filter
  • Winterizing raw water system for engine
  • Remove the speed transducer, clean wheel, insert inert plug in thru-hull.
  • Secure and drain dock hose – stow in locker
  • General cleanup for a winter in the water

The fresh water system and the head have been already winterized.  The diesel tank in full.  The secondary fuel filter has been replaced. I will bring the necessary tools and the needed engine fluids/filter.

These tasks should take about 2 hours.  Perhaps a light lunch thereafter, and then onward to the nearby West River YC for the ANSA end-of-season function from 1400 - 1630.  If the weather forecast changes, this work may be re-scheduled.
